Long ago, Market Square was thought to be bawdy side of the community where saloons were busy, opium was legal and "working girls" were referred to as tainted doves. Now, when you step inside the Square, images are conjured up of the sailors, prospectors and merchants who were part of the mosaic that created the infamous "other side" of quaint Victoria.
