Bob Moffatt
Principal & Managing Director
Bob was born and raised in Victoria, BC and recently returned to the city after 16 years as the President & CEO of Tennis Canada based in Toronto, Ontario. He has extensive experience in event and public relations management, including corporate retreats, fundraising events, staging openings, shows and organizing major international competitions.
He brings a new focus to Platinum through his unique sports management background. At Tennis Canada, Bob was responsible for the organization of national and international events, including the Rogers Cup, a top tier event in professional tennis. He also played a lead role in the development of $75 million in new stadiums in Toronto and Montreal, helping to raise over $50 million in corporate sponsorships and public funding. Prior to Tennis Canada, he lead the organization of the Women's World Team Tennis Championships in Vancouver, BC and was the President & CEO of the BC Summer & Winter Games for a short time.
Bob brings a solid strategic background to Platinum and knows what it takes to create and organize a first-class, special event that's on time and, on budget.
Michelle Saqui
General Manager
Michelle began her career in the hospitality industry upon completion of the Resort Management Diploma program at a local college on Vancouver Island. She has worked for reputable hotel chains in London, England, Whistler, Quadra Island, and Victoria, BC in a variety of positions. Her experiences in food and beverage, front desk, concierge, and conference management have brought invaluable experience and knowledge to the Platinum team. With her passion for guest service, Michelle takes pride and ownership in all programs that she works on. A born and raised Vancouver Island resident, Michelle has traveled extensively throughout the world but always returns to the beauty and lifestyle that Vancouver Island provides.
Sarah Lane
Account Manager
Sarah completed the Hotel and Restaurant Administration Program at Camosun College prior to embarking on extensive overseas travel. She has an aptitude for languages, being fluent in English, Chinese and French, experience in foreign business practices and in the hospitality industry both overseas and in British Columbia. Sarah is a creative, warm individual with high energy levels and strong organizational flare. The combination of her experience, her natural attributes and the fact that she was born and raised on Vancouver Island ensures clients receive the best possible outcomes when working with her.
